XR for entertainment
Laval Virtual launches its 27th call for entries for the LV Awards. The “Consumer Experience & Entertainment” category rewards the XR project offering the best entertainment experience of the year for its innovation in terms of technology and/or use for the general public. This call is open to all projects developed between January 2024 and April 2025.

CONSUMER EXPERIENCE & ENTERTAINMENT: THE 2024 WINNER
Briar & Rose: AR Theatre Performance
Briar and Rose Augmented Reality Theatre Performance was developed by Glitch Studios. In a unique international collaboration, three Norwegian theaters present Europe’s first live theatrical performance using augmented reality. In partnership with Glitch Studios, an XR production studio with a long history of producing high-quality XR experiences, Briar & Rose’s augmented reality elements were carefully designed around the stage production, bringing a magical essence to each scene that enchanted the young audience.
