AR glasses: a production tool or a disposable Trojan horse?
AR glasses face a major challenge: moving beyond being a “lifestyle” gadget to becoming true production tools. While the general public may accept thin, disposable devices, industry demands unwavering durability. This requirement for repairability, a long-standing cornerstone of virtual reality headsets, is the essential bridge to credible professional adoption. Beyond the hardware, data sovereignty remains the major hurdle. Between intrusive cloud AI and privacy needs, this session explores how openness and robustness will transform AR glasses into sustainable, sovereign, and finally repairable industrial assets.

Hardening the XR industry: turning defense constraints into industrial assets
The XR industry is at a crossroads: it can either remain dependent on GAFAM’s cloud infrastructure (the “office” model) or learn from the defense sector to become robust, secure, and sovereign (the “combat” model). This session is not merely a demonstration of use cases, but a true crash test for XR professionals. We will define how to move from “industrial POC” to “operational capability” by integrating military requirements (total disconnection, cybersecurity, extreme stress) as new quality standards for the civilian industry.

Tech scales, we don’t: the corporate and human walls of XR training
With the integration of generative AI and avatars, creating XR training modules has never been faster or more scalable. Yet widespread adoption often seems to be stalling. While purely technical challenges related to multi-site deployment still exist, the real barrier lies elsewhere: it is organizational and psychological. Faced with companies obsessed with large-scale profitability, how can we support the learner’s personal transformation? What are the instructional scenarios, support mechanisms, and real user benefits that can turn resistance into buy-in?

[Live Demo + Early Access] XRHQ: Strengthening the Case for Immersive Technologies Globally
Organisations everywhere are using VR, AR, and other spatial computing tech to transform the way we work and experience the world. But the evidence is buried, fragmented, and hard to track. That means sceptical decision-makers, duplicated effort, and a widening gap between the technologies’ impact and what media headlines suggest. In this talk, Jeremy proposes XRHQ as a solution: a free, living library of immersive technology in action across every industry worldwide. By combining automated AI discovery with curated human contributions, XRHQ aims to create the most comprehensive, up-to-date evidence base of immersive impact. He’ll share what motivated him to build it, what makes it different, and his vision for the future. Includes a live demo of the platform and a chance to be the first to access it.

XR in mental health: beyond the cure, fixing the care
The clinical evidence is clear: XR is a powerful therapeutic tool. But by 2026, its benefits will extend far beyond mere “treatment.” Early psychosocial screening via AR, helping neuroatypical patients acclimate to medical environments through VR, advanced cognitive assessments… XR positively facilitates access to care and inclusion. While science has brilliantly validated these secondary uses, a paradox remains: why doesn’t the general public yet have widespread access to them? Our experts will share these remarkable human advancements and discuss best practices to remove the final barriers to large-scale deployment.
