Elodie Brient-Litzler brings 15 years of R&D and innovation leadership at the intersection of mathematics, physics, chemistry, and medicine. She specializes in translating breakthrough science into real-world products, bridging academia and industry to launch and scale deep-tech ventures. She began her career at Bertin Technologies, where she developed biodetection systems, before joining Andrew Griffiths’ microfluidics laboratory at ESPCI, where she contributed to the launch of startups including HiFiBiO. In 2015, she joined Institut Pasteur as Deputy CTO for Operations and later became Head of Technology Innovation Development. In these roles, she reorganized core facilities, drove technological innovation initiatives, and accelerated the translation of academic research into product-ready solutions. She played a key role in transforming several projects into deployable technologies, one of which led to the creation of AVATAR MEDICAL in 2020. She is now Co-founder and COO of the company. Elodie holds a PhD in biochemistry from Université Pierre et Marie Curie (now Sorbonne Université) and engineering degrees from École Polytechnique and Chimie ParisTech.
