The École de design Nantes Atlantique is a private, not-for-profit school (under the French law of 1901). Recognised by the State, it is a member of the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles and associated with Nantes University. Its mission is recognised as being of general interest by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.
The École de design Nantes Atlantique awards two state-recognised diplomas: the Diplôme de design Bac +5, awarded by the Minister for Higher Education, Research and Innovation and conferring the grade of Master, and the Diplôme National des Métiers d’Arts et de Design (DN MADE, Bac +3, grade of licence), both through the school system and on a sandwich course basis at its Centre de Formation des Apprentis (CFA).
A pioneer in digital design education for over 20 years, L’École de design Nantes Atlantique will be offering 4 immersive design courses at the Laval Virtual Center from the start of the 2024 academic year: 3 DN MADE (Space, Object and Digital) and a Master’s degree in Design and Innovation Strategy in Immersive Worlds for the Bac+5 Design Diploma. The aim of these courses is to train designers specialising in immersive technologies, meet the skills needs of businesses through apprenticeships and support the digital transformation of the design, innovation and conception professions.
